Ascend Another Day

In a time of great chaos, evil spirits run rampant and corrupt officials hold the reins of power. To make matters worse, the underworld launches an invasion, and the combined forces of both realms begin to poison and oppress the human world. Unable to stand by while gods in service of the underworld trample upon ordinary people, a snake catcher named Xu Ying raises his hand in defiance — committing the grave crime of slaying gods. He also takes justice into his own hands against court officials who turned a blind eye to the suffering of the people. Now hunted by both the heavens and the underworld, Xu Ying is forced to become a fugitive, fleeing for his life while carrying the weight of his rebellious choices.
